According to 'WalesOnline', Lonely Planet has highlighted 10 renowned hotels often frequented by celebrities:

  1. Queen Elizabeth Hotel, Montreal: Known as the site of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's second 'Bed In' protest in May 1969 against the Vietnam War, where they spent a week in bed while engaging with numerous reporters.
  2. The Stanley Hotel, Colorado: Stephen King reportedly wrote his novel "The Shining" in room 217 during a vacation with his wife Tabitha.
  3. Big Sleep, Cardiff: Co-owned by John Malkovich, this was one of the pioneering "designer budget hotels" in the UK. It has expanded to include branches in Cheltenham and Eastbourne.
